Mr K Matshazi joins debate!

MDC had tried to be a national movement but, you realise that the ideological disconnect always gets in the way. Therefore the concept of a national movement (which I suppose is comprised of different groups with different agendas) is bound to be idealistic. All things being equal ( sharing a common agenda, etc) that would be great, but at the same time it sounds like another party state. I do not think that the one party state as a principle is bad. It could work if better managed...not that we need it now. If we are ever to have a one party state we need to have efficient checks and balances. This is only idealistic as well. It cannot work. If liberal democratic arangements are strained and flawed, I shudder to think what would be the case with a one party state or a national movement.
