Appeal from Bro F Maguwu.......
Dear Rev Hove.
I think you may still be familiarising with my name since I have contributed to your blog a few days ago. Currently I am in Austria studying for an Advanced ceritificate in Peace and Conflict Studies. I established a Civic Advocacy Organisation in Zimbabwe called Civic Alliance for democracy and Governance (CADEGO). We are involved in human rights and good governance workshops in rural Zimbabwe. CADEGO works in partnership with the Zimbabwe Lawyers for Human Rights. We have heard prominent human rights lawyers such as Otto Saki and Hope Ngara speak at our workshops. Our main objective is to depoliticize traditional leaders and work with rural people in the field of human rights and good leadership. We talk of the human rights and good governance, the role of the citizen to choose good leaders and what are the qualities of good leadersgood leaders. We have already conducted numerous workshops in Mutasa South, Makoni West and Mutare South.
Our main challenge is related to resources. We are appealing for your help in mobilising resources for this noble task. As you are aware, rural Zimbabwe need to be liberated from the chains of fear and liberation war myth. It is our hope that we will be able to join hands with other Zimbabweans and ensure that people in rural areas make informed decisions when choosing leaders and in many other issues relating to civility.
Thank you
Yours truly
Farai Maguwu
